OmnibusCloud was named for one idea: universality. Omnibus means for all.
Most clouds are defined by limits — one datacenter, one class of hardware, one kind of workload, one kind of user, one business model. OmnibusCloud is built to be none of those. It's a coordination layer for many kinds of machines, many kinds of participants, and many kinds of safely distributable work.
It begins with a simple belief: the world doesn't lack computers — it lacks a trustworthy way to coordinate them.
What "for all" means
For all machines. Desktops, laptops, gaming PCs, workstations, office computers, phones, tablets, consoles — eventually any connected device that can safely contribute. Not all run the same work, not all participate the same way, but together they form a broader compute fabric.
For all participants. OmnibusCloud is designed for everyone in the compute economy, not one kind of user:
- machine owners — turn idle time into participation and, in time, real benefits;
- creators and compute consumers — artists, engineers, researchers and small teams who need computation they can't always afford;
- developers — who extend the platform by building controllers and initiator applications;
- enterprises — which can reclaim idle office machines as private clusters;
- partners — which can sponsor qualified availability through benefits, credits or subscriptions;
- communities — which gather around projects and help complete them.
For all suitable workloads. Anything that can be split into tasks, distributed across varied hardware, governed by reviewed controllers, and validated after execution. Rendering is first because it fits naturally; the model extends from there.
One name, three expressions
OmnibusCloud, crowdcomputing and the ultracomputer aren't separate products — they're three expressions of the same idea:
- Crowdcomputing is how people enter — and a way to take part that stays: contributing idle machine power to a community's projects, which remains open even after paid compute and benefits arrive.
- The ultracomputer is what the network becomes — a global, heterogeneous compute fabric assembled from many machines and participants.
- OmnibusCloud is the platform that connects them — the coordination layer that makes it possible.
Crowdcomputing is the human starting point — and a permanent mode, not a step the network leaves behind. The ultracomputer is the destination the whole system grows toward. OmnibusCloud is the system in between. The ultracomputer → goes deeper into the vision.
