OmnibusCloud has two sides: people who lend their machines' idle power, and people who use that power to get real work computed. Whichever side brings you here, there's a short guide for the way in — each takes a few minutes to follow, and none of them assumes cloud expertise.
Lend your machines
Getting Started with the OmnibusCloud Client → — install the client, connect your machine, pick a project from the gallery and let your idle power help build something real. From download to first contribution in about ten minutes.
Gather compute for your project
Getting Started with Campaigns → — a campaign is a public ask: publish your project's story, rally contributors, and render across the machines they lend. Crowdfunding, with compute for currency.
Getting Started with Private Groups → — an invite-only pool of machines for your studio, class or circle of friends: one link to share, no public page, and everyone's hardware working as one.
Render from your tools
Getting Started with the Blender Add-on → — render Blender scenes on the network without leaving Blender: sign in, pick a target, press Render — frames or a finished video come straight back.
Getting Started with the 3ds Max Plugin → — render Max scenes on machines that don't have Max, hold no renderer licenses, and don't even run Windows — with an honest account of what carries over.
New to crowdcomputing?
If you'd like the ideas before the tools, How it works → explains crowdcomputing from first principles — what it is, how to take part, schedules & control and trust & safety.
Questions? Ask in r/OmnibusCloud → — we read everything.
